Join us for Bar Harbor’s Annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony as we gather to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.
Join the Bar Harbor community in a heartfelt Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. This meaningful event will take place at the Bar Harbor Town Pier Monument and is open to all.
Program highlights include:
Invocation by Rev. Tracy Shaffer of the MDI Episcopal Churches
Poem reading by Matthew Horton, written by retired Bar Harbor Fire Chief Jai Higgins
Keynote address by Dr. Dwayne Tomah, Passamaquoddy Language Keeper and Cultural Educator
Wreaths generously provided by Queen Anne’s Flower Shop for 18 years straight!
This annual tradition offers a time for reflection, community, and remembrance in a beautiful waterfront setting.
