Join us in person or online over Zoom the evening of Tuesday, August 10 for this free presentation: American Covenant. Michael Soukup and Gary Machlis will present an overview and selected readings from their new book American Covenant: National Parks, Their Promise, and our Nation’s Future (https://yalebooks.yale.edu). American Covenant is based on their experiences as NPS scientists and is part memoir and part intimate and candid account of why national parks matter, the perils they face, and the covenant necessary to insure their protection across generations in a changing nation and world.
