Description
Join Acadia National Park resident artist and University of Maine instructor Rob Pollien at ArtWaves studio for an introductory series of structured oil painting exercises. Artists of all levels of experience are welcome, although the course is recommended for artists new to oil painting or returning after a long absence. Starting with simple value and color painting studies in oil, we will focus on the basics of mixing color and handling paint as we cover fundamental issues related to working in oil. Attention will be given to reviewing sound studio fundamentals as students learn, grow and become comfortable with the medium.
