Botanical Illustration: Watercolor Workshop

Create your own botanical illustration in watercolor in a workshop at the Wendell Gilley Museum on Friday, July 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. taught by local watercolor artist Erika Rosso. The cost is $25 for museum members and $30 for non-members. Learn how to apply watercolor washes in small sections, and how and where to use dry brush technique. This workshop is suitable for anyone with a little watercolor experience who is looking to dive into more detailed work. Bring your own picture of a flower or plant, or look through materials at the museum to find your subject. Rosso will guide you step by step through the process of painting your own botanical illustration. All materials are provided, although you are welcome to bring your own.
