Halloween is just around the corner, so to commemorate students will have the opportunity to draw inspiration from animal books and skulls from Jessica's personal bone collection! Students will design drawings to apply to linoleum plates for carving a linocut print. Designs may be used to make a series of cards and prints to mat and frame. Students may choose to make their designs as simple or elaborate as they feel comfortable in doing. Tool usage, instructions, demonstrations, samples, materials are all supplied. This is going to be a great workshop with a little bit of an anatomy lesson involved! Come experiment with different gauges for carving, peruse inspiring books and examine up close and personal a collection of found skulls from birds, mice, fox, goat and deer.

*Students may choose to carve any design if preferred. There will be plenty of animal reference books to inspire, or create your own Halloween design!
