Description

You will create an 8×10 painting that is unique and interesting, while learning about encaustics and its history.  To create your painting, you will lay down and fuse wax and learn to embed photos into the wax. Additionally, you will learn colorizing, incising, embellishing and highlighting.  Wax, oil sticks, brushes and tools, and a selection of animals from fables and embellishments will be provided by the instructor. Students will work at their own pace and comfort zone. Bring a bag lunch. Space is limited and pre-registration is required at www.woodlawnmuseum.com.
