Inner Field Trip®: Collage

Description

Each month, we will offer a continuation and longer version of the weekly Relax, Reflect, and Recharge class. While it may be helpful, it is not necessary that you have attended the weekly Relax, Reflect and Recharge class to attend this workshop. During this three-hour session you will be guided through an experience of art, meditation and movement, with an emphasis on collage. You will be encouraged to be gentle and compassionate as you move from desire to serenity by combining the visual elements of images, printed material, and even found objects to create a mesmerizing collage. Together, we will move through fear and take our life back.

About the Instructor: Lelania Avila is a multi-media process artist who works in the media of animation/video production, block printing, calligraphy, collage, poetry and puppetry. Lelania (she, we, tributary) playfully approaches challenges, embracing emotions as a guide to inner wisdom. She builds community through the healing arts: Art of Listening, Art of Slowing Down, Art of Interruptions!, and the Art of Simply Being. With gratitude to get to live, work and play in the homeland of the Wabanaki Confederacy, she is dedicated to becoming a better ancestor and global citizen. She is currently working on a multi-media project called "The Ism-Schism from the Inside Out".
