Cyanotype, also called sun-printing, is an early photographic process that produces blue and white prints. It is usually done in bright sunlight, but can also produce beautiful prints on cloudy days, and can be done indoors with a specialized UV light. You’ll have a chance to try both sunlight and artificial light.
We will use seasonal plants including meadow flowers, ferns, feathers, crystal dishes, lace, and 19th century illustrations to make spring and summer landscape notecards.
There will be a lot of movement between indoor and out door workstations - if you have any mobility challenges please let us know so we can accommodate you.
While this workshop is an introduction to cyanotype, all levels of experience are welcome to come and experiment. People under 14 must be accompanied by an adult
