Introduction to Rug Hooking

Description

Working on an 8"x 8" rug, you will learn all the basic skills and information necessary to start you on a life-long hooking habit. You will have the option to work from a pattern or create your own. I will bring a wide variety of wool to work with so you can choose your own color palette. You will learn to design a beginning pattern, and how to choose and cut the wool. You will also learn about different hooking techniques and how to finish your piece. You will leave with a started rug and all the materials necessary to complete your project, including a hook, linen, and plenty of wool. Your final rug will make a great wall hanging, trivet/coaster, or small pillow.
