"Odd Lobsters"

Description

Ivan Rasmussen, watercolorist & former harbormaster, painted “Odd Lobsters” for the October 5th ART Walk Bar Harbor. The popular crustacean comes in many colors even orange, blue or calico. Additionally, a lobster that may have been injured in a fight with another sea creature can sustain injuries resulting in a healing process that produces multiple claws. The scientific term for these natural abnormalities is “bruchdreifachbildungen” but the artist just calls them “odd”. The watercolor show, “Odd Lobsters”, will open at ART on West, 78 West Street, Bar Harbor, October 5th, 6 to 9 pm during the final ART Walk Bar Harbor 2018.
