It is also a time many creatives fall into a slump, hoping their muse will show up with some new artistic inspiration or perhaps you  just realized you have been looking for your muse ever since you were that intuitively creative five year old with a new box of crayons in hand.  This course is designed to help you reconnect with your lost Muse. Through fun art activities, unconventional painting techniques and mark making, collage, natural ink, fiber and stitch; will learn how to leave the word “precious“ out of our art vocabulary, loosen up, and create without thinking of the outcome or perfection. The class will culminate in a concertina book filled with our new inspirations and of course, dedicated to our Muse.No Art experience is required, only an open mind to laugh, play and create together! Our instructor is Bonnie Chase A biologist, botanist and naturalist by trade; I have had no formal art training, but have always dabbled in art starting at a very wee age and continued incorporating art throughout my careers. Living on a small organic farm on MDI…..I grow, collect, forage and create most of my supporting tools, dyes, inks, pigments and paints used in my art practice. I define my art as mixed media inspired by nature, the seasons and the diverse landscape on this beautiful island. Much of my art is tactile and my hope is that it reflects the many transient cycles of the seasons, flora and fauna on MDI bringing a sense of place to its viewers.
