Juliana Ramirez spent the summer of 2023 observing and recording data on breeding puffins, razorbills, cormorants, terns, storm petrels and more as a Research Assistant with Audubon's Seabird Institute on Seal Island National Wildlife Refuge. Then she spent part of the fall working as the Resident Bander for Project Owlnet at Petit Manan Point, helping to collect data on Northern Saw-whet Owls. In this presentation on Friday, April 19, she'll share her experiences, and photographs of the birds, along with explaining how the data she helped collect will connect to the projects’ research as a whole. She’ll also discuss the organizations she worked for, and talk about the species she observed. The program starts at 5:30pm and will be held in person at the Gilley. Free, but registration is required.
