St. Saviour's Downeast Music Shows is an informal, free, weekly live music series featuring local musicians. September 18 brings folk singer and activist Andrew Revkin.
If you're a fan of Pete Seeger, community-centered activism, folk music, science and fun tales, Andrew is gonna' bring it all together at this show.
Andrew is one of America's most honored and experienced environmental journalists and a very skilled player.
Peter Seeger was an American folk singer, songwriter, activist, and founding member of the folk groups The Weavers and The Almanac Singers. As a key figure in the American folk scene, Seeger's music and activism for social change resonated globally.
Andrew performed frequently with Seeker from 1996 until Seeger's death in 2014.
This is going to be a musical and historical journey like no other.
