Join Mike Thalhauser, MCCF's Collaborative Management Specialist and a group of panelists as they talk about local efforts in the Bagaduce River in a success story about community members supporting local fisheries that are part of a delicate food chain connecting our inland communities with the open ocean. Alewife and other river herring were once abundant, but due to overfishing and damming of streams and rivers populations, they have declined to dangerously low numbers in recent years. Through the local knowledge and capacity in our communities, we are now seeing restoration and stewardship efforts making a positive impact on alewife numbers across the state of Maine.

Viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the discussion.

This webinar is FREE to join. Spots are limited and registration IS required. See link to register today!
