We are now hiring shop managers who are enthusiastic, confident, committed and excited about engaging with potential customers and our kids camps while managing logistics in a busy, thriving shop. Spend the spring, summer and fall sharing what we have to offer here in Maine while connecting with folks who are excited to learn more about kayaking and the outdoors! We are looking for self-starters with strong work ethics, ability to multitask, customer service experience, strong computer skills, and strong organizational skills.
Shop manager responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, greeting and checking in guests for tours, directing customers to the tours that best meet their needs, organizing and maintaining shop inventory and gear, planning events and camps throughout the summer, and so much more!
We are situated in Downeast Maine, near Acadia National Park. Our bay has many varied coastal conditions including 10-12 foot tides, dynamic areas of tidal rips, calm inshore bays with access to outer bay waters with a variety of wildlife including 3 colonies of seals making every tour different and exciting! Best of all our bay is extremely Bioluminescent so we offer night kayaking tours every night complete with a floating planetarium. In your off-time there is so much to do here and explore as our location is a gateway to Acadia National Park and the great outdoors beyond, perfect for adventures! We’re looking for hardworking, fun-loving, competent individuals who are ready to join a team passionate about paddling and the environment! Great for a seasonal career or a Summer Job (3 -6 months)! We hire our staff with a variety of time commitments, so not necessary to be available the entire season (ie college students). We connect our staff with housing opportunities in our area!
