The Carriage roads throughout Acadia National Park are excellent for nature walks, cycling, picnicking. Our “desert of mountains” offer excellent hiking trails.

The surrounding ocean provides great fishing, canoeing/kayaking, sailing, swimming, beaching, and of course the best seafood in the world. Our many lakes are ideal locations for a refreshing swim, canoeing, windsurfing, and fresh water fishing.

Local golf courses, public tennis courts, zoo and oceanarium, amusement parks, boat tours and whale watch tours afford visitors plenty of leisure activity. And you’ll find wonderful dining, shopping, and local color in our quaint towns.
