Bar Harbor Ghost Tours is a nationally and internationally award winning company as well as being woman-owned. We are the only indigenous owned tour company in Maine and the only ghost tour company world-wide who tells traditional indigenous spirit tales from the region. You can't get more LOCAL than us!

Our local guides are professional storytellers who tell tales no one else will. We dress in clothing inspired from museum textiles from the 1870s to remain historically accurate to the famed Cottage Era in Bar Harbor. The undertaker and undertaker-lady-assistants will lead you to the most haunted places in the village by lantern light and tell you stories of real hauntings. We don't claim to be paranormal experts because we live the paranormal every night. Many of our guests have caught photos of orbs, ectoplasm, paranormal mists, and shadow people as well as full and partial apparitions while on tour!

We are the only tour company to have exclusive nighttime access to the Criterion Theatre (exclusions apply due to live shows or late run-times). This Prohibition Era Art Deco theatre is one of the most haunted places in town and even the state.

Tours operate nightly, May 1st- October 30th. Reservations are required.
Tours leave from outside the Abbe Museum in front of the gift shop windows.
