Pet of the Week - Madera 1/30/25

Meet Madera, a quiet and curious little guy who enjoys the simple things in life—like a cozy hidey bed and a sunny window! While he prefers to keep his distance from the hustle and bustle, he's got a soft spot for treats and wand toys. If you're patient and gentle, he might just come over to all you the privilege of feeding him treats, especially Churu. Madera isn’t one for constant cuddles, but he has let his favorite people give him pets as long as they’re slow and gentle. When Madera comes out of his shell, he is quite the silly goofball! Whoever adopts Madera and brings that side out of him will have a wonderful companion! Prior to his arrival at the shelter, Madera was rescued from a hoarding situation where he only had other cats to lean on. While people are still kind of scary, other animals are his best friends! He isn’t used to being alone and must be adopted with a buddy or go to a home with other cats. While Madera isn’t ready to be a lap cat or social butterfly, he will be the best companion for other pets in a cat-loving home! This sweet soul needs a safe place to call home and some feline friends to rely on after over a year of shelter life.
