Pet of the Week - Titus (2/10/25)

Titus is our longest-stay resident, and we just can’t understand why—this big, lovable goofball has everything you could want in a best friend! He’s half defensive tackle, half drool machine, and 100% loyal companion. Titus is absolutely obsessed with chasing and catching balls. If fetch was an Olympic sport, he’d take gold! An automatic ball thrower would be his dream come true. He also loves car rides, rolling around in the grass like a total goofball, and climbing rocky beaches—this boy knows how to have fun. But for all his strength and energy, he’s also a big baby who adores cuddles. He also needs help remembering when to slow down, as he is approaching senior age and that comes with senior aches! His perfect unicorn adopter is an experienced dog owner who can handle a strong, eager-to-please pup. He would do best in a home with no other dogs, or with a dog that can keep up with his rough-and-tumble play style. Titus is not compatible with cats or other small animals, and he likely wouldn’t be a good fit for small children—not because he isn’t sweet, but because he doesn’t quite understand his own strength. He is a very smart boy and listens to commands, even when he doesn’t want to.Titus does have a skin condition called Panniculitis, meaning he’ll need to be on lifelong medication. But don’t worry—he comes with an adorable wardrobe of t-shirts to help protect his sensitive skin. He’s fashion-forward and functional! Titus hasn’t had the easiest go of it, and he has a few quirks that have made his stay here longer than it should be. But we know his perfect match is out there. Let’s find this big-hearted meatball the loving home he deserves! If you think you might be the unicorn adopter he’s been waiting for, come meet him at SPCA of Hancock County today! Titus is waiting—will you be the one to give him the home he deserves? Send us a message, or fill out an adoption application today at our website www.spcahancockcounty.org.
